Ananias Blessed the Terrorist

Saul went to the Jewish national leadership in Jerusalem to get letters of authority to persecute followers of “the Way” in Damascus. When he arrived in Damascus, he still had the authority to imprison and kill believers. The Spirit of Jesus spoke to one of the people Saul came to town to persecute and instructed him to heal Saul of blindness and baptize him into Christ. This man, Ananias, was more interested in obeying Jesus than in nursing his fears, his pride, or his previous injuries that may have been caused by the terrorist.

When Ananias blessed the terrorist, he blessed us. Because of his obedience, we have preserved for us many letters written by Saul, and many chapters written by Luke, encouraging us to live the Good News. Be generous. Be filled with the hope that Jesus can redeem any life that surrenders to Him. Be filled with faith and love and hope. Obey your King when He leads you.
