Tents and Temples
Tabernacles and temples have been raised up and cast down through the ages, and for different reasons. The tabernacle built in the desert was put away when the first temple was built to replace it. Temples were destroyed in judgments of the nation of Israel’s descendants.
Jesus once said that His temple would be torn down. He promised that, when it was, He would rebuild it in three days. He also prophesied that the temple Herod had built would be torn down. It is still torn down, and a judgment has been built in its place, honoring the moon god of Mohammad. Those two temples were destroyed for different reasons: the temple of Herod was no longer needed. The temple that is temporarily standing in its place will be judged one day. Pray for the season of Ramadan this year to be a time when many Muslims become “Islam:” submitted to Jesus as a King and a Savior.
The temple Jesus was walking around in was judged because it was counted as a sacrifice to pay the judgement I deserved. When that payment was accomplished, that temple was raised from corruption to incorruptibility – from destruction to glory.
The temple I am walking around in will be cast down one day. The temple we make up together will be glorified one day as His permanent dwelling. Stay as conscious as possible that you are a temple of Him. Stay as conscious as possible that together, we are even more so a temple of Him. Stay as conscious as possible that one day, when there is only that one day, no more night, that some will be pillars in the temple not made by humans. They will never turn away from His glory. They will be a manifestation of His glory.
Because you have kept My command to endure, I will also keep you from the hour of testing that is going to come over the whole world to test those who live on the earth. I am coming quickly. Hold on to what you have, so that no one takes your crown. The victor: I will make him a pillar in the sanctuary of My God, and he will never go out again. I will write on him the name of My God, and the name of the city of My God—the new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God—and My new name.
