Expect Guidance

Yahweh knows what will happen next. He knows why it will happen. He can change it if He wants to. He has already changed the “proper” results of circumstances in your life many times.

No matter what your view of a situation leads you to believe about what will happen next, His view is better and His power to change things is greater. Communicate with Him about everything that happens in your life: things that have already happened, things that might happen, and things that He can change that you are concerned about. Listen for His responses.

Sometimes the answer only sounds like an annoying idea that won’t go away. Other times it is a bit of advice He gives you through someone who loves you. Ask Him to keep you from missing His word and to make you able to follow it. Then be unafraid to advance. Even if you’re not sure… Some growth comes from our making mistakes, and that doesn’t scare Him.
