Full-Time Ministry
Unless the King of Heaven and Earth has given you permission to belong to someone other than Himself part-time, if you are a believer in His salvation and His Kingdom, you are called by Him to full-time ministry. Secular work, contrary to Roman Catholic mythology, is worked you picked out for yourself.
I have met many people who were employed full-time by congregations or denominations who were doing very secular work. If you are walking in your calling, you are doing spiritual, Kingdom work, without regard for whether it is tuning pianos or repairing tires or healing the sick or casting out demons while selling houses. When He calls you to serve, the work you do will require a spiritual gift to accomplish it the way He wants it done. I am convinced by much evidence that there are more people with the gift of pastor at work effectively in arts and industries and other jobs than are in congregational leadership. This is partly because many congregational employees do not have the gift of pastor, and partly because there are millions of times as many believers than there are jobs available in congregational settings.
Every believer has an important ministry. It takes a spiritual gift to accomplish it. This includes you.
Now there are different gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different ministries, but the same Lord. And there are different activities, but the same God is active in everyone and everything. A manifestation of the Spirit is given to each person to produce what is beneficial:
