Who are You, Lord?

Meanwhile Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest and requested letters from him to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any who belonged to the Way, either men or women, he might bring them as prisoners to Jerusalem. As he traveled and was nearing Damascus, a light from heaven suddenly flashed around him. Falling to the ground, he heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?”

“Who are You, Lord?” he said.

“I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” He replied.

If it had been today that Jesus was pointing out over Saul’s shoulder, asking him “Why are you persecuting Me?”, He would be pointing at you, and at me out there behind Saul. Saul’s introduction to the people of Jesus was in the form of pointing at His people and saying “I am Jesus.” He so identifies us as being in Him that He says we are one with Him.

Be awesome by gaining understanding of who you are in Christ. Be filled with Who He is. Be identified by who you are in Him.
