Nation, Then Kingdom

“Therefore,” He said to them, “every student of Scripture instructed in the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who brings out of his storeroom what is new and what is old.”

Israel’s descendants became a nation when Yahweh drew them out of slavery in Egypt. What came after the nation of Israel was the Kingdom of Heaven, not a religion birthed in Rome or London.

Two kings – Constantine of Rome and James of Britain – tried to displace the King of Heaven and His Kingdom by creating something they could rule over. Even though they did manage to create their own bride, they have not displaced the King nor His bride.

Your submission to the Bridegroom brings you life and purpose and empowers you to bring change to the circumstances you encounter while you are under His influence as a Ruler.

Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

Be careful that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deceit based on human tradition, based on the elemental forces of the world, and not based on Christ. For in Him the entire fullness of God’s nature dwells bodily, and you have been filled by Him, who is the head over every ruler and authority.
