Not Average
Who has set the pattern for how life should be lived that you consider to be “normal,” or “attainable”? How high is the bar of success in that pattern? How much farther than that pattern is it possible to go? Is average good enough for “ordinary” believers, or should all of us be striving for the highest place?
What is our calling? Did Jesus get tortured to a miserable death so that we could be “average” people who at least are not going to be thrown into the lake of fire? How amazing should lives be that belong to people who are so loved by Yahweh that He sent His Son to be tortured for?
I am convinced that all our lives should be filled with wonders and with evidences that we are those Jesus has called out of the graves of who we used to be, so that we are continually bringing attention to Him and His love.
May you be strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for all endurance and patience, with joy giving thanks to the Father, who has enabled you to share in the saints’ inheritance in the light. He has rescued us from the domain of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son He loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
