Seeking Christ’s Interests

Now I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon so that I also may be encouraged when I hear news about you. For I have no one else like-minded who will genuinely care about your interests; all seek their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ.

So many distractions swirl around us. Family needs, work demands, property maintenance, food, gas, lights… Where is the line that we need to observe between our interests and the interests of Jesus? Its hard to tell most of the time.

Priorities can be clear only for moments at the time on days. Examine your alignment with the interests of Jesus frequently. If I am on the sea, navigating by the stars, and set a course, I am executing a plan for being on course. If I don’t frequently re-examine my location, I could come under the influences of the courses the wind and the water currents have.

Pray frequently. Listen frequently. Obey always. Be awesome!
