Leading Leaders

Everyone can probably help someone along the way who is younger or less informed or lost. Not everyone is a leader, though.

Not every leader is a good leader, either. The best leaders are not the ones with the most followers. The best ones are the ones who have equipped the most leaders. If you are a leader, and you are not intentionally finding lives to leave your thumbprint on, today would be a good day to start praying that you stop missing opportunities.

Pray for people you can encourage and empower to go farther and deeper and higher than you. Pray that you manifest every fruit of the Spirit that it will take for everyone to live through and thrive in the process.

Be strong in the grace that you have received from the Christ. Lead others to lead others. Impart grace that can bring strength. Impart truth that can bring freedom. Impart love, because His kindness has led us to repentance, and it will lead others by our example and our love.

Now may the God of peace, who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus—the great Shepherd of the sheep—with the blood of the everlasting covenant, equip you with all that is good to do His will, working in us what is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
