The King’s Breath

Father, please cause Your Kingdom to come here, by causing Your will to be done here just as it is done in Heaven.

By instruction from Jesus, that is part of the disciples’ prayer. The launch of the mission to help that prayer be answered was the choosing of 12 initial apostles to colonize the earth with the power, the culture, and thereby, the Kingdom of Heaven. Apostles created colonies in Jesus’ day. And there are many more than 12 of them now. In fact, according to the writer of the letter to the Hebrews, Jesus was the first one (Hebrews 3:1). Paul was one, and several other believers mentioned in the Scriptures are called apostles. Try not to be misled by Roman mythology (Roman “catholic” theology).

We are foreigners in the earth now that we have been born from above (John 3:1-12). On days, even we can’t tell where we are from nor where we are going. We are like the wind sometimes. It is easy to be distracted or lost. We need a GPS that can not only tell us where we are, but remind us why we came.

We have just such help! The Holy Spirit is a Holy Wind. In Hebrew, there is one word that can mean wind, spirit, and breath. In Greek, there is a Greek word that can mean wind, spirit and breath. The Holy Breath of Yahweh wants to blow over us in ways that move us into being under His influence, under His motion to move us into co-operation and out of danger and waste.

Raise your hand and ask for permission to be led. Ask for His influence to be stronger than any other influence. Ask to be filled and used and strengthened and comforted and made wise. Get blessed by the Breath of the King. Be awesome!
