Access to Healing

Unbelief. Hardness of heart. To people Jesus was rebuking for displaying these qualities, He gave charge of the invasion of the earth with dissemination of good news. He told them to preach that good news to every creature.

Later, He appeared to the Eleven themselves as they were reclining at the table. He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who saw Him after He had been resurrected. Then He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new languages; they will pick up snakes; if they should drink anything deadly, it will never harm them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will get well.”
Then after speaking to them, the Lord Jesus was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word by the accompanying signs.

The industry of medicine is advancing in its ability to find sources & causes of sicknesses. It only has rare instances of finding the power to heal any of them. Like 12 steps programs, it leaves the sick sick. Their symptoms can be relieved, or their sickness may not be active while taking a drug or chemical, their impending deaths may be delayed, but the diagnosis remains the same.

Like sin, sickness and disease have met their match in the blood of Jesus. Pray that we gain the real-ization of His prophecy that we would lay hands on the sick, and they will get well. It is not likely that He made a mistake. It is possible that we are missing something.
