Listen to the King!

When Jesus took Peter, James and John up a mountain and met with Moses and Elijah in front of them there, Peter did not know what to say (Mark 9:6). Being Peter, he did not let not knowing what to say stop him from saying something. He declared that he thought it would be a good idea to build three tents there.

One tent would have been for Moses, who represented the Law, one for Elijah, who represented the Prophets, and one for Jesus, Who represented the Kingdom. Father God interrupted him and said, “This is My beloved Son! Listen to Him!”

Yahweh brought humanity some revelation about Himself and His intentions in the earth through the law and the prophets, but He revealed Himself through Jesus. Anyone who has seen Jesus has seen His Father.

When we stop settling for rules, and further refuse to settle for anyone or anything other than a Ruler, we find Him. Seeking His Kingdom and His righteousness before all else leads us to all else.

Listen to Him!
