Being Patient

Islam has found a place and a welcome in the land of the descendants of Ishmael. At its core, it is intent on destroying followers of Moses and of Jesus: forcing them to convert to Islam and its moon god, or be killed. The door that opened to that hatred can be traced to an elderly couple not being patient on Yahweh as He checked the days off His calendar until the moment when He would fulfill a promise and initiate blessing for every nation. He still intends to bless even the children who see Ishmael and Ibrahim (Abraham) as their ancestors. He has led many of them to His Son.

Impatience causing wrong action still costs humans great loss every day. Many times, each of us has acted out of impatience and paid dearly for not waiting on the Lord. Patience is a fruit of His Spirit, though, so there is hope!

We can be influenced to righteousness and Life by His Spirit, and empowered to walk perfectly before Him when we listen to our King and obey Him.

After He had suffered, He also presented Himself alive to them by many convincing proofs, appearing to them during 40 days and speaking about the kingdom of God.
While He was together with them, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for the Father’s promise. “This,” He said, “is what you heard from Me; for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”
So when they had come together, they asked Him, “Lord, at this time are You restoring the kingdom to Israel?”
He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or periods that the Father has set by His own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
