Stop Lights

If you have to race to get through a green light, you feel like you got by with something.

If you have to sit at a red light for a long time before a green light could be available, you feel like you lost something.

If you are praying that the Holy Spirit would lead all your steps each day and expecting it to happen, every event has the potential to look different, and to have purpose. You can be patient, and faith-filled, and joyful and peaceful.

And we exhort you, brothers: warn those who are lazy, comfort the discouraged, help the weak, be patient with everyone. See to it that no one repays evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good for one another and for all.

Rejoice always!
Pray constantly.
Give thanks in everything,
for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
Don’t stifle the Spirit.
Don’t despise prophecies,
but test all things.
Hold on to what is good.
Stay away from every form of evil.

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely. And may your spirit, soul, and body be kept sound and blameless for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.
