Righteous Fruit

The remembrance of the righteous is a blessing,
but the name of the wicked will rot.

(Proverbs 10:7 HCSB ©®)

This is My command: love one another as I have loved you. No one has greater love than this, that someone would lay down his life for his friends. You are My friends if you do what I command you. I do not call you slaves anymore, because a slave doesn’t know what his master is doing. I have called you friends, because I have made known to you everything I have heard from My Father. You did not choose Me, but I chose you. I appointed you that you should go out and produce fruit and that your fruit should remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you. This is what I command you: love one another.
(John 15:12-17 HCSB ©®)

When you are no longer on the earth, your words, your character, the interactions people experienced with the Spirit of Yahweh when in your presence, and the influences you had on the words and actions and characters of others will continue to live here. Some of your words and deeds will warm hearts. Some will remind those you leave behind of the power and access the fear of the Lord brings to life. Some of your actions will still bring joy or tears.

Jesus chose you to bear much fruit, including fruit that is borne in a following generation: fruit that remains. Be fruitful and multiply. The fruit of the righteous is a Tree of Life (Proverbs 11:30a).
