Stepping Into The Kingdom

A blind woman standing on a train platform can hear a train arrive, but not see it. Finding the door and stepping through it might require help. If the platform is raised, she could step right into the car. If the platform is at the same level as the wheels, she needs steps.

The Kingdom of Heaven is among us. We have been born of Yahweh, so we can see it. We need to enter it by finding the Door and the steps. Receiving His payment for our access is like accepting a gift. Entering His Kingdom requires more action than a hand reached out to receive. It demands that we take the steps of entering.

Don’t wait for the 12th verse of Just as I Am to make the decision to get on the train and leave the station of comfort and predictability and easy answers. Receive His invitation to climb on board the most astonishing, impressive, compassionate, scariest adventure you could find yourself in by abandoning yourself to the love and the desires of the King of glory.

Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost?
