Romance / Agape
Please think back to the first few months after you became a believer. How many things did the Lord do to confirm to you His presence, His love, and your transformation?
How much of that has been replaced on your side of the relationship with coolness, or how much is taken for granted now, that inspired awe in those first days?
Making a decision to return to that excitement and passion would be a good idea. Making the decision without putting a discipline in place to make it possible is not likely to change anything. What could you do to turn up the heat in your relationship with the Spirit? Sanctify a half-hour of prayer three days a week at a certain time of day in a certain place? Finding a chart that would lead you through reading the Bible in the next 365 days? Finding a very mature believer and asking them to spend a half-hour a week sharing testimonies with you from their lives, praying with you for your future, or reading the Scriptures together?
You probably have even better ideas than that for a discipline. Romance is a first stage on the missile that launches you into your heavenly adventure. Agape is what keeps you orbiting the King and staying aloft without drifting back to mere earthly memories of how awesome your spiritual life used to be.
