Furnace Fellowship

The wilderness we are living through the influences of is a place of education and preparation and testing and proving and encouraging and clarifying and, most importantly, a place where we are sure to be in the presence of Jesus:

They all ate the same spiritual food, and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank from a spiritual rock that followed them, and that rock was Christ.

(1 Corinthians 10:3-4 HCSB ©®)

In that place of proving, we grow in maturity individually and as members of His body:

But speaking the truth in love, let us grow in every way into Him who is the head—Christ. From Him the whole body, fitted and knit together by every supporting ligament, promotes the growth of the body for building up itself in love by the proper working of each individual part.

(Ephesians 4:15-16 HCSB ©®)

While still threatening them, Nebuchadnezzar asked Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah, “…who is the god who can rescue you from my power?” (Daniel 3:15) After throwing them in the furnace, Nebuchadnezzar said he saw someone with the three who “looks like a son of the gods” (Daniel 3:25).

With Whom did the three spend time in the furnace?
