Inventors who take the lead in creating what replaces their most recent or their most successful inventions get to continue to surf. Those who just coast to the end of the wave to the beach are just beached.
Abraham was told by Yahweh that he would have a son by Sarah. A couple of decades later he did. He was then told by Yahweh to sacrifice the boy on an altar. He pivoted and built the altar and bound the boy. As he drew his knife to kill the boy, he was told by Yahweh not to kill the boy, but to kill a ram that had just gotten caught in a nearby bush. He pivoted and killed the ram.
If we follow a GPS driven map app in our phone or vehicle, it may instruct us many times to change directions before we reach our destination. Making a religion out of going east is likely to cause us to just end up on a beach.
Even when beached, Moses struck the water with his staff and moved forward through the sea. Don’t stop asking your Guide “What’s next?”
The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom;
his tongue speaks what is just.
The instruction of his God is in his heart;
his steps do not falter.
