Big Fight
The warfare over your life is bigger than you think.
The attacks on your health, your property, your relationships, your rest, and all the rest, are allowed in your life so that you have opportunities to have increase in the process of Christ being formed in you. That important purpose needs to have faith applied to it so that it becomes more effective.
The enemies who are aligned against you are at war with your King. The battlefield is bigger than your imagination. This thought needs to always include the fact being considered that there are more with you than the hordes who are against you.
The grandest strategy for overcoming in the warfare you experience, then, is to pray always in the Spirit, which means under His direction, so that you are properly aligned with the rest of the army of saints and the hosts of Heaven. Verse 18 of the 6th chapter of Paul’s letter to the congregations that were in Ephesus is normally left out of teachers’ admonitions to “put on the whole armor.” Without that last verse, all that is present is a well-dressed soldier. With it, there is a soldier who is part of something much bigger than self, taking responsibility for intercession for the whole army and self. (Ephesians 6:10-18)
