Raise Your Sail

Air and spirit and breath are all referred to in Hebrew with one word. The same is true of one Greek word that speaks of all three.

Air has varying “thickness.” At sea level, it has a greater thickness than at 5,000’ above sea level. It is, therefore, easier to fly a kite with a 100’ string than it is to fly one with a 5,000’ string.

Seriously, though, just as a ship raises its sails so that the wind can push it across the sea, I need to have my mind and heart unfurled before the breath of the Spirit of Jesus, so that He can move me into and out of places and relationships and purposes that fit His desires for my life.
