Flat Tires

If my tire goes flat today, it would be silly to get mad at the tire. It would be wise to remove the tire, repair the tire, and put the repaired tire back on. If the Holy Spirit reveals to me that you have sinned, it would be silly to get mad at you. It would be wise to ask the Holy Spirit what could set you free from iniquity (being prone to sin) and then ask Him to do that. He may even give me an assignment to help you get free from it.

When He points out your own sin, what would you like to have as assistance from another believer? Finger wagging accusations? Looking the other way and ignoring your failure? Love-motivated intercession? Wise counsel about how to avoid future failures? Jesus ever lives to make intercession for us. Some of that ministry, He trusts us to join in with Him. If what we do with our invitation is gossip, accuse, condemn, hate, fear, etc., we probably won’t get invited to intercede again until we have repented of our own sin.

Love covers a multitude of sin. Not by sweeping it under a rug, but by praying it under the blood. He already paid for the repairs. Don’t complain about the cost of helping people grow. You don’t have to pay it. You may get to jack up the car and loosen the bolts, or something like that. Be glad you get to help!
