Not Tired
“Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. All of you, take up My yoke and learn from Me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for yourselves. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
(Matthew 11:28-30 Holman Christian Standard Bible ©®)
If you go home tired from your work each day, I suggest that you inquire of the Lord about your assignment. When we are in the place of alignment with His burden for us and His yoke for moving the burden, we gain life from the work we do.
There are times of preparation in deserts or oceans during which we are temporarily in a prison like Joseph, being aligned with the Pharaoh, or like David fleeing through mountain and cave and desert to avoid being killed by Saul, or like Joshua waiting 40 years for all the faithless to find graves in the sand so that he could cross the Jordan and take the land, but at some point the preparation is done, and we are confronted with the scary development that shifts from the known to the unknown; from the school to the workplace; from the sheep field to the battle field.
If you go home tired, ask the Spirit for encouragement or correction – either to persevere until the shift comes, or to leave Ur and launch into the future you are called to inherit.
