Blasphemy

Then a demon-possessed man who was blind and unable to speak was brought to Him. He healed him, so that the man could both speak and see. And all the crowds were astounded and said, “Perhaps this is the Son of David!”

When the Pharisees heard this, they said, “The man drives out demons only by Beelzebul, the ruler of the demons.”

Because of this, I tell you, people will be forgiven every sin and blasphemy, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him. But whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the one to come.

Many respected and followed Christian leaders teach fervently that any supernatural activities among believers are demonic manifestations. They would like for us to believe that anyone claiming to have healed the sick or raised the dead or cast out demons or prophesied the future is simply deceiving people with false signs or lies. Scriptures do warn against following false signs and wonders, but Scriptures never advise to avoid seeking miracles or to avoid doing the works that Jesus did. Scriptures also warn against false teachers. In fact, Jesus warned that attributing the works of His Spirit to demons would be rewarded with some form of condemnation, in this life and the next one.

Expect awesome things to happen around you and through you. Pray for people who are confused by teachers who have a form of godliness, but are teaching that there is no more power for the people of Jesus to bring to the earth. Influence earth with the culture and power of the Kingdom of Heaven.
