Positively
We are not called to optimism. Some of the ideas in Norman Vincent Peale’s 1960 best-selling book “The Power of Positive Thinking” could help me perhaps have a better life, but would probably be insufficient strength to move me from being called to fulfilling my calling. That is because just having a positive attitude does not make me strong enough to answer powerful adversaries like death and deception and accusation and pain.
We are called to faith. Faith doesn’t just hope things will work out. Faith is the power of Yahweh at work in us (Galatians 5:22-23) to access His promises and His character and His purposes in the earth and to refuse to turn them loose until they bless us. Faith demands that His desires will empower us to succeed at whatever He has set us to be and do.
Be faith-full in all you do.
