100 years ago it was 1919. 50 years ago it was 1969. The technologies, the music, the transportation, the styles of news propagation shifted from 1919 to 1969 in unimaginable ways. The changes since 1969 have been much more vast than the differences between 1919 and 1969. 10 years from now may show as great a shift as the last 50.

In some areas of the planet, however, there have been little noticeable changes in the last 200 years. The truths that Jesus has spoken into the earth are established and unchanging. The culture you live in will change in spite of you. If you are not disciplined, it will change you. Anchoring your thoughts and attitudes and values in the Truth and the Life will empower you to help guide your circumstances and your environment. That is appropriate.

The process includes you saturating your mind and heart with what has been recorded as Scripture, and then saturating your heart and mind with the Holy Spirit Who breathed the ideas into the minds and hearts of those who wrote what has become considered Scripture. He will take the truth and interpret it in your circumstances. He will interpret your circumstances through revelation of truth.

He will teach you in every situation the differences between danger and opportunity and distraction. He will align you with His timetable so that you are in the right place at the right time with the right idea or word or work. Expect it. When enough believers are being led by the Spirit, we will reach a tipping point in our ability to transform cultures. We will disciple nations.
