Seeing the Kingdom

Answering insults and accusations and arguments and unjust demands with the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) might make us so strong that we can walk away from encounters with people who are demanding a fight with smiles on our faces, peace and joy and love in our hearts, and no sense of loss, no matter what our detractors are able to extract from us unjustly. Taking ground in worldly terms and values is almost always very different looking from taking ground in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Where we live and move and have our being, losing our lives causes us to become able to find our lives. Laying down our lives for our friends may be the thing that brings us into abundance of life. Taking up a means of death (cross) makes me able to  begin to follow Him. Being generous with unrighteous mammon may bring us the truest friends we have yet known.

Study and pray with a goal of finding the true values and strategies and strengths and weaknesses that Jesus died to make us able to find. You can’t see the Kingdom until you are born of God. Even then, you might need to be looking for it
