Mustard Bush

He presented another parable to them: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field. It’s the smallest of all the seeds, but when grown, it’s taller than the vegetables and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the sky come and nest in its branches.”

The Kingdom started in the earth as one Man. When He was sown in the earth, He multiplied and the Kingdom has grown and will continue to grow. It isn’t important looking if we don’t have eyes to see it. As Jesus told Nicodemus (John 3:3), if we haven’t been reborn, we can’t see it at all.

We can see it, though! We need to be about tending it; it needs water and sun and fertilizer. It needs annoying bees to pollinate it so that it bears fruit. Ask the Spirit what your responsibility is for tending the garden. He wants you to know, and to be successful at your part.
