Holy Husbandry

It is very liberating to reach a place of faith and trust in which we become able to say to the One Who exhaled a few words once and breathed the stars: “Dearest Lover of my soul, I commit myself and my property and my future and my relationships to You: for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness, in health, to love You, to cherish You, to hold You, from this day forward, forever, free from any effects of death other than to be even closer.”

If you don’t sense that you are there, ask Him to work in you to want more.

So then, my dear friends, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now even more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God who is working in you, enabling you both to will and to act for His good purpose. Do everything without grumbling and arguing, so that you may be blameless and pure, children of God who are faultless in a crooked and perverted generation, among whom you shine like stars in the world.
