Esther’s Preparation

On days when you feel unprepared for great things, consider the preparation that Esther had. She was in the right place at the right time. She was beautiful, but that was insufficient by itself. Many other young women were beautiful.

She learned to ask for help, and sought the advice of Hegai, the eunuch in charge of the king’s women. His name meant “groan” or “separated”. He added to her preparation.

She was bold. She went into a scary place in front of a scary king, and asked for help.

Trust Jesus. Ask Him for help. He wants you to succeed more than you want it.

In the same way the Spirit also joins to help in our weakness, because we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with unspoken groanings. And He who searches the hearts knows the Spirit’s mind-set, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
