Who You Are

Yahweh told Samuel that David was a king. Those who thought they knew him best, though, had different opinions of him. His father pretended he didn’t exist when Samuel asked to see all his sons. His brothers called him arrogant and evil-hearted.

When your friends and family assess your integrity or your value, do they reflect Yahweh’s perspective, or some other view? If they are not intent on finding revelation from the Spirit of your God about your identity and purpose, they are likely to have an inaccurate opinion. The Spirit wants you to know what He thinks of you. The most likely place to find His statements about you are as He prepares you to be identified for your purpose, like He told David before he met Goliath.

Listen to the voices that repeat what Jesus says about you. Ignore the rest.
