Irrelevant Failure
Moses’ first act as he moved to fulfill his destiny as deliverer of the Israelis in Egypt was to kill an Egyptian who was beating an Israeli. When this act caused him to be endangered by both Egyptians and the people he hoped to protect, he fled to Midian.
Moses’ last act as leader of the Israelis out of Egypt was to make the mistake of striking a rock he had been instructed by Yahweh to speak to. This failure caused him to be prevented from entering the territory he was called to lead the new nation of Yahweh to inherit.
He began and ended with failure, but everyone knows his name. You don’t have to be perfect to be awesome. Be awesome.
