Bracing Up, Being Awesome
Evidence may be proving me wrong, regarding my recent declaration that Marxists would not overcome our nation. They seem to have purchased most “news” media, the judicial branch of government, the legislative branch, and now the executive branch, and are in the process of purging the leadership of the national military of any who would not be loyal to their agendas. If this is true, a storm is coming.
Any house that is built upon the Rock Who was with the pilgrims in the wilderness will not be shaken, though (Matthew 7:24-25). Just as people who hear a hurricane is approaching board up windows and bring in small items that could become airborne easily, we should be spending time in study of Scriptures that reinforce our faith in our King. Our dual citizenship has as our primary identity that we are citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven, and, in fact, royalty in that Kingdom. That truth should influence every thought and concern and confidence.
Our King is not worried. He wants to communicate to us what He is doing and how we can co-operate with Him in it. Do not be like the disciples, who frequently “discussed among themselves” some question they could have asked of Jesus and gotten an authoritative and reliable answer to. Ask Him what to think, what to do, what to say. He wants to bless you with many answers to many questions. He knows how difficult it is to listen. He will put the answers where you can reach them. Expect it!
However, among the mature we do speak a wisdom, but not a wisdom of this age, or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. On the contrary, we speak God’s hidden wisdom in a mystery, which God predestined before the ages for our glory. None of the rulers of this age knew it, for if they had known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written:
What no eye has seen and no ear has heard,
and what has never come into a man’s heart,
is what God has prepared for those who love Him.
Now God has revealed them to us by the Spirit, for the Spirit searches everything, even the deep things of God.
