Effective Yeast
“Why is it you don’t understand that when I told you, ‘Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees,’ it wasn’t about bread?” Then they understood that He did not tell them to beware of the yeast in bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

Lies and misinformation are both poisonous. When they are used intentionally, to manipulate or control or distract from purpose, they are advancing toward having the power of witchcraft. Lies repeated often become influencers of culture and religion. Just like yeast spreads throughout a loaf of wet wheat, lies can permeate a culture and mindset.
Jesus compared the Kingdom to the process of yeast invading a lump of dough, so the process of yeasting is not evil. We should be constantly speaking truth and freedom and Life to the culture in which we have responsibility and authority, so that those influence the people’s lives around us. Beware the yeast that has a different nature and purpose, though. Don’t let it creep into your life or your thoughts or your talk.
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your graciousness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses every thought, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable—if there is any moral excellence and if there is any praise—dwell on these things.
