How much of your life is beyond your ability to control it, or fix it, or even understand it?

Joseph prevailed in Potiphar’s home because he thought it was normal to be awesome because of his identity rather than waiting until his circumstances confirmed it. He prevailed in Pharaoh’s prison because he thought that it was normal to be in difficult circumstances, but that not being awesome was not normal. He prevailed at ruling over the Egyptian empire because he thought that being awesome was normal. Being a foreigner didn’t change who he was.

Daniel was kidnapped, castrated, enslaved, and renamed with a name that came from a culture that worshiped demons. He thought that it was normal to base his actions on what Yahweh revealed to him was his identity. He didn’t fear his kidnappers. He honored Yahweh.

The Holy Spirit of your King would like to make you even more settled in your identity and purpose than those guys were. Ask Him to work it in you and to work it out around you.
