Having Much Wisdom

In 1 Kings 3, there is a story about Solomon proving to have much wisdom in his judgment in the case of two prostitutes. They were arguing over their sons: one was dead, and the other alive. Each was claiming that the living boy was theirs.

Solomon ordered that the live baby be cut in half, and that each prostitute be given half. One of the women begged that the boy would not be killed, and was willing to lose the argument and give him to the other, whose response had been, “He will not be mine or yours. Cut him in two!”

Solomon ordered then that the boy be given to the woman who cared about his life, because she was the true mother. All Israel heard about it and stood in awe of Solomon’s wisdom.

Our wisdom should exceed his! We have received the Holy Spirit of the Living God! The fruit of His Spirit (Galatians 5:22,23) is sufficient to manifest through us the wisdom that is in the One Who created all things, and Whose breath sustains all things.

Seek to respond to every event in your life with an answer that is birthed in the fruit of His Spirit. The wisdom that comes from His nature, with the revelation of truth that comes into the heart and mind that are surrendered to manifesting Him, will surpass that of Solomon.
