The Fruit or the Spirit

Manifesting the fruit of the Spirit is possibly more important and more powerful than manifesting gifts of the Spirit. If someone encounters the character of Jesus through me, that may be more influential than encountering His works, especially if I present His work without presenting His character. I have met people who could prophesy and heal the sick who were mean and hateful. They left people confused or condemned.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, fulness of faith, gentleness and self-control. Manifesting these evidences of the character of Yahweh lifts us above laws.

Happily, you don’t have to choose between gifts and fruit. You can choose gifts anointed by fruit. You can be especially awesome!
