An Enlightened Heart
Your mind and heart are parts of your soul. They help form the place from which you respond to situations and make decisions. They work differently from each other, though.
Your mind is more rational, your heart is more emotional. When a beggar approaches you in a gas station, they hope to appeal to your heart. When a marketer approaches you in a sales pitch, they usually hope to start with your mind and end with your heart to make an emotional decision that you can’t argue with the rationality of.
How much of your mind is owned by the Holy Spirit? How much of your heart is owned by the Holy Spirit? If He only has access to one or the other, you will miss some instructions in life. You will miss some strength.
This is why, since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, I never stop giving thanks for you as I remember you in my prayers. I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, would give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the glorious riches of His inheritance among the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of His power to us who believe, according to the working of His vast strength.
