Important and Invisible
How difficult it can make our lives when our Best Friend and our greatest enemy are both beyond being visible. I can rarely see the traps set to ruin my life. I can rarely see the Help Who is reaching out to save me.
How wonderful that I can draw near to my God and find that He is even more intent on drawing near to me. I can seek Him and by pressing into the darkness discover that He was seeking me before I was born. It is when I submit myself to my God that I become capable of resisting my enemies (James 4:7).
It is vitally important that we seek Him with all our hearts, because it is vitally important in life that we find Him to be Emmanuel – “God with us.”
We cannot wait until after we discover we are trapped to ask for help and find that our lives are abundantly filled with His presence. We need to at least frequently, and much better constantly, seek His face and His hand and His way. It is then much easier to reach out and find that wherever my hand is, it finds Him pulling me out of the water that overwhelms me.
But the seed in the good ground—these are the ones who, having heard the word with an honest and good heart, hold on to it and by enduring, bear fruit.
