Making Jesus Known

They started laughing at Him, but He put them all outside. He took the child’s father, mother, and those who were with Him, and entered the place where the child was. Then He took the child by the hand and said to her, “Talitha koum!” (which is translated, “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”). Immediately the girl got up and began to walk. (She was 12 years old.) At this they were utterly astounded.

For I tell you, you will never see Me again until you say, “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!”
(Matthew 23:39 HCSB ©®)

“Isn’t this the carpenter, the son of Mary, and the brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And aren’t His sisters here with us?” So they were offended by Him.

We really still don’t know Who Jesus is most of the time. The more we are willing to receive Him on His terms and in His true identity and with His true purpose, the more we will have revealed to us.

It is quite likely that the more we gain understanding and knowledge regarding Who He is and who He says we are, the more religious people will be offended by us. Still, be filled with faith and joy and love. Be more excited by unbelievers who want to hear more than you are troubled by religious people who want to hear less.
