Seeking The Saved
Church membership in the United States is down drastically, even without the influence of the Wuhan Plague and Marxists making it illegal for congregations to gather. One reason is that most American denominations are here to seek the righteous, not sinners. When our strategy for growth is the hope that adherents to our doctrines will move to our town and join us instead of beating the bushes to invite the dead to become alive, a few generations will pass with no evangelism and then a few generations will pass with no church members.
Pray to the Lord of the harvest, that He would send workers into His fields and bring in a great Harvest. He is worthy of being presented a great harvest.
As Jesus went on from there, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax office, and He said to him, “Follow Me!” So he got up and followed Him.
While He was reclining at the table in the house, many tax collectors and sinners came as guests to eat with Jesus and His disciples. When the Pharisees saw this, they asked His disciples, “Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
But when He heard this, He said, “Those who are well don’t need a doctor, but the sick do. Go and learn what this means: I desire mercy and not sacrifice. For I didn’t come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
