Better Than Moonshine
The light in the yard from a full moon at midnight is spectacular in contrast to the blackness in the same yard during the new moon, with no man-made supplement of flashlight or street light. At it’s best and most glorious, though, moon light is second-hand sunlight.
The Light we seek is brighter than the sun. As Paul told Agrippa, “…at midday, O king, along the road I saw a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, shining around me and those who traveled with me.” (Acts 26:13)
You don’t have to become a prophet if you are called to be at different work. You don’t have to be a teacher to be able to dig and find the revelation you need to do what you are called to. You should find, though, that there is a place of relationship and communication and influence that you can find in the Spirit of Jesus that becomes Light to you and in you. As you do find that place, nations will come to the brightness of your shining, and you will have answers for those who have no access to the Light as you do. The answers you bring forth may be in the area of history, or accounting, or engineering, or government, or in any other arena of the works of humans.
The Spirit sets the members of the body of Jesus in place as He sees it will facilitate their success. Find the setting in which you become a diamond that shines with the Light that is brighter than the sun. Give Him glory. Then others will join you as you give Him praise.
A person should consider us in this way: as servants of Christ and managers of God’s mysteries. In this regard, it is expected of managers that each one be found faithful. It is of little importance that I should be evaluated by you or by a human court. In fact, I don’t even evaluate myself. For I am not conscious of anything against myself, but I am not justified by this. The One who evaluates me is the Lord. Therefore don’t judge anything prematurely, before the Lord comes, who will both bring to light what is hidden in darkness and reveal the intentions of the hearts. And then praise will come to each one from God.
