Miracles and Healings

I have been asking the Spirit why so many people I know who have been declaring their faith in His power to heal for decades are currently sick. I believe that part of His answer was that the body of Jesus has been willing to settle for people praying for each other as needs arise, rather than praying for every believer to be gifted (1 Peter 4:10-12) and equipped to use the gifts they have received (Ephesians 4:11-16).

We need to start praying that He would give us people who have gifts of healings (1 Corinthians 12:9). These specialists will have His power to break the grips sicknesses have on our bodies and we will be more blessed and He will be glorified. We should also pray that many people are given and equipped in the gift of miracles (1 Corinthians 12:27-31). We may need to take responsibility for preparing for more difficult times by asking Him for the provision of these gifts. Whether that is true or not, every believer has an important work that needs a supernatural empowerment from the Spirit to happen. We need to pray that they all come to that truth and the revelation of what they are called to bring into the earth so they can succeed at it.
