Able to Comfort
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort. He comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any kind of affliction, through the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For as the sufferings of Christ overflow to us, so our comfort overflows through Christ. If we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which is experienced in the endurance of the same sufferings that we suffer. And our hope for you is firm, because we know that as you share in the sufferings, so you will share in the comfort.

How often is one of our first questions of Yahweh, when we experience some situation that causes us to suffer some pain or loss, “Father, what is in this that will become comfort to someone I love or have not yet met?” How much more likely is it, that if there is some benefit built into the hard situation, we will find it if we are expecting and searching for it?
Yahweh Sabaoth said, regarding Babylon, that their suffering would end in destruction, and their work would just make the fire bigger. He was not a Redeemer to them:
This is what the Lord of Hosts says:
Babylon’s thick walls will be totally demolished,
and her high gates consumed by fire.
The peoples will have labored for nothing;
the nations will exhaust themselves only to feed the fire.

He is your Redeemer. He brings purpose into every tiny space in your life. He has called you, and you have responded to that call with love for Him. He will, therefore, cause every thing in your life to work together for your good. Expect the best you can imagine in every situation. Learn to imagine better. Be awesome. Your Father is.
