Protected

You who live in the shelter of ‘Elyon, who spend your nights in the shadow of Shaddai, who say to Adonai, “My refuge! My fortress! My God, in whom I trust!” —
he will rescue you…

(Psalm 91:1-3a Complete Jewish Bible)

Psalm 91 is a hymn of protection. Even in verse 13, when the blessed are trampling lions and cobras, the whole context implies defense in my camp, not assaults against the camp of the lion.

That place of protection is not related to my neighborhood or my job or my family. It is found in the secret place of ‘El Yon, the Most High and in the shadows cast by El Shaddai, the Almighty. His Spirit lives in you. That is how close the Safe Place is. Never lose consciousness of His presence there, with no regard for seeing it or even feeling it. Believe it. Stand in it. Be awesome in Him and let Him be awesome in you.
