Mystery and Purpose
We humans think that we only need two things to be noble: the knowledge of how to master the mysteries of life and make them obey us; the knowledge of how to master our identities and make them produce purpose in life.
The one thing we need above both of those pursuits is knowing the One Who wrote the mysteries and Who laid out in front of us paths of purpose. Knowing Him is the key to knowing all else of value. It opens the Door to the knowledge of our identities, our purposes, and to the understanding of mysteries of life. Then, He walks through the Door and makes knowing Himself possible to those around us.
But thanks be to God, who always puts us on display in Christ, and spreads through us in every place the scent of knowing Him. For to God we are the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.
