Philippians 4:19
And you, Philippians, know that in the early days of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, no church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving except you alone. For even in Thessalonica you sent gifts for my need several times. Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that is increasing to your account. But I have received everything in full, and I have an abundance. I am fully supplied, having received from Epaphroditus what you provided—a fragrant offering, a welcome sacrifice, pleasing to God. And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.

Paul received provision from believers in the congregations in the city of Philippi. They received in return a blessing from him: he prophesied that his God would provide for them. He did not, by writing that, declare to every believer who would ever live that his God would supply all their needs. He neither promised that everyone who ever gave him money would have all their needs met by his God. By far, he did not promise that when I give generously to wealthy TV personalities, all my needs would be met.
I suggest that a valuable lesson to gain from his words to the Philippians would be to take up the practice of prophesying blessings over people who have blessed you in any way. For example, your interest in my daily writings has blessed me much. I would like to bless you: by faith, I declare that the One Who breathed the stars into being will bless you with clear revelation – real knowledge of His love for you, clear and sure knowledge of His desires for the purposes of your life, strength of character that cannot fail morally or practically, and that your heart and your mind will be so given over to His use of your life that when people encounter you they truly will have been in His presence, and His Kingdom will have drawn their lives closer to His will and His love.
