Imaginary Friend

Almost everyone had imaginary friends when they were children. Even Barbie and GI Joe fit into our friendships. Pups and cats were the victims of thousands of hours of one-sided conversations. The adult version of imaginary friends is FaceBook.

Graduating from that use of our imaginations to interacting with Jesus as a Friend is quite a leap. He is not imaginary; He is more real than any of the people we see around us. The shift is from imaginary friend to invisible Friend. Until we include Him in all our conversations, draw life from Him in every situation, and seek His counsel for every decision, we are likely to have problems in all those and every other part of our lives.

Ask the Holy Spirit how He would like to help you with the real-ization of Jesus as your Best Friend Forever… Loving a pure heart and allowing grace to be on your lips will make the King your Friend (Proverbs 22:11).
