You Are Qualified
The teachers who have been making a living off of false eschatology (words about the end times) are likely to create the same scenario that Jesus encountered the first time He came to the earth: the religious camps all thought that He would rise from their party, would believe their doctrines and judge the other parties, and would rule the nation under their guidance. His entire process of being revealed was contrary to all of them. The people who recognized Him were from every walk of life except the religious leadership.
The first locals to get the word were shepherds. The revelation was next shared with sorcerers from another nation. Sorcerers. The word Matthew used three times in what we have rendered to be chapter 2 of his writing to describe them was also used twice by Luke in Acts 13 to describe Elymas, whom Paul blinded in Paphos, and twice used noun forms of the word to describe the work of Simon of Samaria, whom Philip led to believe Jesus, as “sorceries.” In Roman Catholic Mythology, they are called “kings.”
Jesus insulted the religious leaders around Him by notifying them that prostitutes and publicans were entering His Kingdom ahead of them (Matthew 21:28-32).
One way to be ready for His return, whatever it looks like, is to be bold to believe that you are just as qualified to be a leader preparing people and the earth for Him as the prostitutes, the publicans, and the witches were the first time He appeared. Learn to hear and discern and believe His voice. Don’t wait for the next “Left Behind” movie to mislead you. Read the Book and listen to the Spirit. Be awesome.
He came to His own, and His own people did not receive Him. But to all who did receive Him, He gave them the right to be children of God, to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood, or of the will of the flesh, or of the will of man, but of God.
