Student of the Kingdom

If baseball stats were taught in school, there would probably be fewer people learning them than are currently studying them feverishly. The motivation for learning the numbers and the histories is the love of the game. They work to show their love.

If our Bible studies are only supplies of data and theology and rules, it is little wonder that there are few in attendance. If we spent more time leading people to fall in love with Jesus and then giving them tools to study the Scriptures, we might have more effective students. They could even be changed by what they learned.
